  1. Hi Steve,

I have been looking at the work you have been doing with Google and think you are doing a great job!

I have just received the go ahead from the head teacher here at Waverley School to implement Google Apps but this is only the start of my vision.
Like you I wanted to get technology to all pupils in the school and the only way to do this is to get them a device to use in school and at home.
I started looking at netbooks, laptops etc and then remembered Google Chromebooks.

I think I have methods of financing the project but I need to convince the head and all the staff that it is a good idea.

Google Apps was my way in; getting staff to use technology in the classroom but without them seeing how the Chromebooks work I think I may lose the battle.

It would be great to hear about the the highs and lows you have encountered so far or even see this in action as we are located in Birmingham too!

Thanks for your time and keep flying the flag for good ICT in schools!

    Regards,

  2. I have a question: My district is offering a pilot program for Chromebooks. I am able to apply for my team of 5 teachers to each have a teacher device for use in the classroom. I have to site how my team would use the devices. I know how I might use Cromebooks with my students, but I am not sure how I would put a single teacher device to use. Any thoughts?

  3. Hi Steve,

I hope you can help in my quest. To celebrate the launch of Chromebooks4Schools.com, a site dedicated to all things Chromebook, we are giving teachers and pupils the chance to win 30 Chromebooks for their school – worth over £6,000! You can find all the details of the competition here – http://goo.gl/QWbiVC

It is such a great opportunity for schools that I want to make sure every single school in the UK is aware of this competition. Is there anything you can do to share this with your network?

I look forward to your response.

    Kind regards

    Jason Tye
